Empowering change

Welcome to my consulting practice. My name is Karine Coen-Sanchez, a strategic consultant with over 15 years of experience in equity, labour relations, inclusive education, and organizational transformation. I work with institutions to drive meaningful, measurable change, bridging academic insight with practical, real-world solutions.

I have collaborated with leading organizations across sectors, including the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/FEESO), where I have championed the voices of racialized and marginalized educators, advancing equity through policy advocacy, mentorship, and leadership development.

At the University of Ottawa, I co-developed a pioneering mentorship program for Black and racialized graduate students, creating critical support networks and building pathways for future academic and professional success.

As Co-Chair of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Advisory Committee to Address Anti-Black Racism, I have led national efforts to address systemic inequities in Canadian research ecosystems, co-authoring a strategic report that shapes the future of inclusive scholarship. With over 8 years of experience as a Grievance Officer and Chief Negotiator, I have driven systematic changes in the working conditions of support staff, championing natural justice and inclusion. My leadership in this role has shaped fairer, more equitable workplaces for thousands of professionals.

Fluent in English, French, and functional in Spanish, I engage across linguistic and cultural contexts to support international partnerships and global impact. My consulting practice is grounded in a commitment to meaningful, measurable change, aligning with frameworks like the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
